After many days I saw an impact film. Borat.
I like to use the term impact because irrespective of whether you like these films or not, they leave an impact on their times.
Borat is raw and almost completely crass. Its humour most often hits below the belt. And it can be horribly depressing. But its a film that should be watched.
You will laugh your guts out. And most often you will be ashamed that you identify with that kind of humour.
But in that humour the film has a message for almost every social phenomenon - anti-semitism, Iraq War, feminism, gay rights, the great American dream, Christianity etc.
So shed you inhibitions and catch up with Borat.

where's the long comment shuv???
well what i had said was that its been about 6 mnths since i have seen any latest release in the theatre..any so called 'offbeat' english movie runs for about a week here in gurgaon and is then relegated to some obscure theatre in some ridiculous time slot..hence i am totally dependent on DVD releases..that, in short scout, is the long comment.
hahhahaha..u think i saw borat in a theater?? are you kidding? it is being bandied about by email and laptops dude.. i saw it on a friend's comp
Scout: I never enjoyed watching movies on comp.. I know watching it on DVD is no better but atleast...
