Being in the heat

Whenever this issue of reservation crops up I somehow feel very agitated. The recent pictures of students getting beaten up only added fuel to the fire. I wished I was there in one of those protests feeling the heat. One friend of mine was part of one such protests. And I have one more reason to respect him.

dear kaushik, India will take another hundred years to settle down with its political and social issues.
there is NOTHING you or i can do about it apart from feeling a bit sad or agitated occasionally while reading the papers or watching the news.Every nation had taken a certain time to settle down and India too is taking its it own sweet time.
dont bother too much about politics if you are not an active member of parliament yourself.its a seer waste of time. All your political consciousness has no meaning if you have no power or voice to change anything.
our generation has already passed the stage.leave it to the next generation to sort out their own problems and enjoy life meanwhile.

Kaushik,

First time you blog. Reached here thru a maze of Bangalorean Bong Blogs.

You seem to be a prolific writer. Nothing much to say on the topic though except the fact how it revives the memories of the First Mandal Commission back in college days.

Cheers
