Where are you?

".. everyone will search for his treasure, find it, and then want to be better than he was in his former life. Lead will play its role until the world has no further need for lead; and then lead will have to turn itself into gold.... That's what alchemists do. They show that, when we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better, too."

I am in search of an Alchemist.

awesome book! btw, the point of the whole book is that you yourself are the alchemist.

There are still 10-12 pages to go. So the message has still not reached. But I am pretty sure I wouldnt have got it even if I would have completed it by now.

Anyways, its too scary to think of my self as an alchemist for me. My future then would be in the wrong hands.

i dunno. books are awesome but i really feel they do not help in life. i detest self-help books. and yes, i have read the alchemist.

Scout: I am tempted to agree with you. Selfhelp books are indeed rubbish. On other kinds of books I dont know.

Each good book I read tend to influence me at that point in time. May just like when you see Bond movie you tend to walk like him.

But does it last? Does it help if it lasts? It doesnt in my case but I am also tempted to think it might help if it lasts.

Finally like everything else its a matter of choice and what works for whom.
