The Blue Angel's

This weekend I went to the San Francisco Fleet Week. Of the numerous events the show stopper was the pyrotechniques of the Blue Angel's. I had last been to the Bangalore Airshow. But it could not have got bigger than this. I have a lot of pictures to share.

For a start here is the Blue Angels - The U. S. Navy’s Flight Demonstration Squadron. They were flying the Boeing F/A - 18 Hornet.

More to come...

yeah..nice timing dude..

..it looks pretty much like a group of venomous snakes dancing to the tune of an invisible charmer..

...u know how it feels...when u see a few gruesome killing machines
on a sudden spree of rejuvenation..

..looks wonderful though.

Shuv: Program mode. The camera tells you the best aperture and shutter speed. You can tinker with around after that. But these guys are fast so hardly no scope for any setting choices.

My friend had a professional SLR nd 30 mins later he gave up. Its darn difficult to follow these guys when you are in high zoom. If you miss them you have to zoom out and catch them in the sky and then zoom in again. All this while they would flying around everywhere and approaching from everyside. So frankly, I am really happy with the shots.

Rip: You are right about snakes part my whole idea of posting this sequence was to give that impression. But the Blue Angel's fleet are not used for figthing. But I do have shots of the Apache and the famed F16s fighter machines.

Shuv: Dodo would have loved this.
